AffiliationQuebec Not Running
For immediate release
AffiliationQuebec will not be fielding any candidates for the December 08 Quebec election, including Allen Nutik's previously announced intention to contest the riding of Notre Dame de Grace.
The unfortunate but stark reality is that AQ does not have enough money, resources, infrastructure, nor essential support at this moment to justify taking a realistic run at winning the riding.
As party leader, Nutik said, "We have not been sufficiently successful at the task of effective party building and the requirement of attracting an adequate supportive working cadre to accomplish our worthy and necessary goals."
Expressing deep appreciation, Nutik said. "To those who did participate in the requisite work at hand, I can only offer my deepest thanks for your support and efforts in the cause of English and minority rights in Quebec."
Nutik said that AffiliationQuebec, as an ongoing, official, and operating political party, is still in existence, as well as the absolute need for Anglophones, Allophones, and other minorities in Quebec to continue to have a strong voice to represent their authentic Canadian views.
"Should an administrative team materialize to create and develop a truly viable political structure," said Nutik, "there is always tomorrow. The probability that Quebecers will elect another minority government on December 08 is considerable, so we may have to re-visit the next Quebec election much sooner than most of us contemplate."
AffiliationQuebec is an official political party formed to represent the full rights and interests of loyal Canadians living in the Province of Quebec.
